Our Philosophy

Healthcare in the United States is often expensive and largely driven by insurance-based systems. Primary care offices are frequently overbooked, making it difficult for families to secure timely appointments when their child is sick. Even when providers want to help, limited availability often results in referrals to the Emergency Department or Urgent Care for issues that may not truly require that level of care.

Pediatric Concierge Care was created by a Nurse Practitioner and Roanoke native who witnessed these challenges firsthand for many years. As the membership model in medicine continues to grow, families are seeking more accessible, personalized options for healthcare. Pediatric Concierge Care was designed specifically for busy families who want thoughtful, reliable medical care delivered in the comfort of their home.

Visits to the Emergency Department, Urgent Care, and even traditional pediatric offices are often associated with long wait times, high costs, and uncomfortable environments — especially for children. Pediatric Concierge Care offers an alternative when unexpected illness or injury arises, allowing families to receive care without crowded waiting rooms or exposure to additional sick contacts. This approach not only improves the patient experience but also strengthens the relationship between families and their child’s provider.

At Pediatric Concierge Care, we prioritize quality of care over the quantity of visits. We intentionally limit our patient panel to ensure unhurried appointments and continuity of care. While we do not bill insurance, we do accept Health Savings Account (HSA) payments, making our services more accessible for many families. Membership is billed monthly and based on the number of children ages 0–18 in the household. Our focus is simple: providing high-quality pediatric care that supports your family and keeps your child’s wellbeing at the center of every visit.

Paramedic/ Firefighter, Flight Nurse, Pediatric Primary Care Provider, Emergency Department Nurse Practitioner

Over the past twenty-six years, I have had the privilege of working  and volunteering in various roles within the public safety and medical fields.  During this time I have experienced many of the best and worst sides of our ever evolving American Healthcare System .  I have been a Paramedic/ Firefighter, an ED Nurse, a Flight Nurse/ Paramedic, a Family Nurse Practitioner in Pediatrics, and most recently as a Nurse Practitioner in the Emergency Department.  These experiences have opened my eyes to the many flaws that continue to plague our healthcare delivery system.  As parents of three young children ourselves, my wife and I have felt the stress and frustration of needing to make urgent arrangements for the care of a sick child while on vacation, early in the morning, late at night, and on holidays.  We have been fortunate to have many wonderful friends who are Nurses, Physicians, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners in the medical field who have been able to help take care of our children's medical needs quickly.

This connection is exactly what PCC provides to our families.
